MEDITATION & BUDDHISM
FOR EVERYONE • NO PRE-REGISTRATION • NO PRE-REQUISITE
Discover meditation or deepen your practice and understanding of the Buddhist philosophy
Thursdays • 7:30 – 9pm with Marco Lisi
Meditation is now scientifically recognized as one of the best methods to reduce stress and to develop inner well-being. In reality, meditation offers much more than that. These series of classes help us not only to deepen our meditation practice but also to nourish it through contemplating profound buddhist teachings, which offer us concrete solutions to our inner problems of anger, stress, impatience, attachment and jealousy. Through improving our understanding of our mind: what in our mind makes us feel happy, sad, tense or confused, we will begin a profound spiritual transformation and become the person we wish to be.
- Guided meditations
- A talk on a practical topic to nourish and deepen our experiences in meditation.

The Six Perfections
Giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration and wisdom… how do these sound? For most of us, we might think “daunting” or “overwhelming”, or maybe even “impossible to achieve”. Buddha refers to these qualities as the “Six Perfections”. If we want to be truly happy and experience peace of mind, we need to know about and practice the six perfections by first understanding their real meaning and their subtleties. Through sincerely familiarising ourself and applying them in every situation during our daily life, we will gradually create and maintain our inner peace and thereby cultivate the real causes of happiness.

The Path to Enlightenment: Lamrim

In this series, we will come to understand from a Buddhist perspective what enlightenment is, how it’s not mystical and actually quite simple and straightforward, and learn a simple and practical road to achieve it.
