Our Teachers

Gen Kelsang Chögyan is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Montreal. She has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for over 20 years. She is constantly encouraging us through her sincere example, her deep faith and her great ability to transform all situations in an occasion to progress on the path. Her joy, energy and enthusiasm inspire us to put Buddha’s teachings into practice and to experience their many benefits in our daily life.

Many inspiring teachers, ordained or lay, who are also students on the Teacher Training Program [TTP] or the Foundation Program [FP], teach classes at KMC Montreal or in surrounding areas in our branches. They all practice the buddhist path and are active and devoted volunteers at the heart of our community. Below are teachers who teach classes in English. For all teachers teaching in French, see Nos enseignants

Marie-Claude Martel is the administrative director of KMC Montreal and a student of the Special Teacher Training Program (STTP) offered in England. She teaches branch classes in St-Hyacinthe and occasional classes and workshops at KCM Montreal as well. She is greatly appreciated for her warm, inspiring teachings that stem from a clear understanding and deep personal experience of the Kadampa way of life.

Marco Lisi teaches the Thursday evening classes at KMC Montreal. He has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for several years and is a student on the Special Teacher Training Program (STTP) given in England. He shares his experience of the teachings with clarity and warmth and is a dedicated member of the spiritual community. Marco also teaches occasional classes in French at KMCM.

Rosalind Fox has been involved in the activities at Kadampa Meditation Centre Montreal, from the very beginning, more than 20 years ago. Her steady and long term commitment of studying on the Teacher Training Program is an example of her pure and sincere practice of the Buddhist way of life. Rosalind guides meditation in English at lunchtime and teaches the Intro to Meditation classes.
