Our Teachers


Gen Kelsang Lhoundroub is the resident teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Montreal. Devoted student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, he has been studying and deepening his understanding and practice of meditation and buddhism for many years. Appreciated for the clarity and depth of his teachings, Lhoundroub skillfully transmits Buddha’s profound instructions so they can guide and inspire us in our daily life.

Gen Kelsang Lhoundroub teaches the general program classes in French on Monday evenings and Wednesday evenings as well as the Foundation Program [FP] and the Teacher Training Program [TTP] (also taught in french). He also teaches various events on the weekends.


Many inspiring teachers, ordained or lay, who are also students on the Teacher Training Program [TTP] or the Foundation Program [FP], teach classes at KMC Montreal or in surrounding areas in our branches. They all practice the buddhist path and are active and devoted volunteers at the heart of our community. Below are teachers who teach classes in English. Marco Lisi teaches the Thursday evening classes at KMC Montreal. He has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for several years and is a student on the Special Teacher Training Program (STTP) given in England. He shares his experience of the teachings with clarity and warmth and is a dedicated member of the spiritual community. Marco also teaches occasional classes in French at KMCM.
Simon Millerd is a sincere practitioner and student of the Teacher Training Program at Kadampa Meditation Centre Montreal. He is a devoted member of our community helping in many aspects of the daily running. He is much appreciated for his calm and warm attitude as well as his sense of humour. Simon guides meditation in English at lunchtime and teaches the Intro to Meditation classes.
Rosalind Fox has been involved in the activities at Kadampa Meditation Centre Montreal, from the very beginning, more than 20 years ago. Her steady and long term commitment of studying on the Teacher Training Program is an example of her pure and sincere practice of the Buddhist way of life. Rosalind guides meditation in English at lunchtime and teaches the Intro to Meditation classes.
