Event May 18 • Acting rather than Reacting: Living in Peace

À partir de 40,00 $

SEE FRENCH VERSION

Saturday May 18
10 am to 4:15 pm
With Guest Teacher Gen Kelsang Norbu

Usually, our need to escape discomfort is so urgent that we don't give ourselves time to discover its origin. Our instinctive reaction is to quickly escape the discomfort by becoming defensive, retaliating or hardening our hearts. We may also turn to distractions, temporarily suppressing our mental pain. None of these tactics reduces our discomfort for very long, and many of them may actually cause more pain and suffering.

Inspired by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche's book, How to Solve Our Human Problems, Gen Norbu will teach us how we can become masters of our reactions and keep a stable, happy mind in all of life's circumstances. Everyone is welcome!

TEACHER
Gen Norbu was ordained in 2006 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, and was requested by him to be the Resident Teacher of KMC North Carolina. Gen Norbu is known for his loving and gentle nature and holds a very clear and sharp understanding of Buddha’s teachings. Through his teachings and his personal example, Gen Norbu shows us how to integrate Buddha's teachings into our daily life.
