About us

KMC Montréal is part of the large family of Kadampa centers of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU).

This is a Mahayana Buddhist tradition founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, based on the Kadampa traditions of the Buddhist masters Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa. The NKT is an association of study and meditation centres dedicated to helping people around the world give meaning to their lives and develop genuine inner peace and happiness.

By putting Buddha's teachings into practice in our busy daily lives, we discover that they offer unrivalled methods for solving our dail problems and difficulties.

The Kadampa community is an international family offering support, inspiration and encouragement for this joyful and profound spiritual path in centres all over the world.
