Answers to your questions

If we train in meditation our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we shall experience a purer and purer form of happiness. Eventually, we will be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.
— Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Why Meditate?

The purpose of meditation is to cultivate positive states of mind and overcome negative mental habits. Through meditation, we learn that happiness is a state of mind and that the true source of happiness lies within, not in external situations. When our mind is peaceful, we are free from worry and mental discomfort, and we experience true happiness. Meditation is a method for making our mind peaceful and can be practiced by anyone.

These courses are suitable for anyone who wishes to learn and deepen their meditation, regardless of their past experiences and beliefs. They are designed to provide a broad knowledge of Buddhist meditations, teachings and practices. Buddhism has a very flexible approach, open to all. Therefore, everyone has the choice to believe and take to heart what makes sense to him or her and to commit to the level that is right for them.

The benefits of these courses

These classes are specifically designed to relax our minds so that we return home energized and refreshed. They give us simple yet profound tools to deal with stress and anxiety. They also help us overcome negative minds, such as anger and jealousy, and allow us to cultivate positive minds, such as patience, love and wisdom. Each class begins with a short meditation to relax, a teaching, and ends with an opportunity to apply what we have learnt by engaging in a final meditation.
