What to expect?

The guided meditations and courses we offer are for everyone, no previous experience is required. They generally consist of two guided meditations and a practical presentation of Buddha's teachings to help solve our daily problems and enhance our experience of inner peace.

Answers to your questions

  • No. Anyone can learn the basics of meditation and experience the benefits of a peaceful mind. Kadampa Buddhists respect everyone and are happy to help them, regardless of whether they adhere to another religion or philosophy.

  • No, you don't need any previous experience of meditation to take part. All our events are suitable for beginners. Everyone is welcome.

  • All general courses and most workshops and events are intended for a general audience. It usually says "no prerequisites" on the activity page when it is appropriate for everyone, including those with little or no experience.

    Regular classes and guided meditations are usually a good way to start.

  • No. You can simply show up and attend the class of your choice, even in the middle of a series.

  • No, there is no physical exercise. During the meditations and teachings, you can sit on a meditation cushion or on a chair, so as to be comfortable.

  • No special clothing is required.

  • Nothing in particular. If you wish to take notes, you may bring a notebook and a pencil.

  • Each course includes two guided meditations and a practical teaching to solve our daily problems, abandon bad habits and cultivate a peaceful, happy and relaxed mind.

  • No. However, if you wish, you may ask questions at the end of the class if time permits or stay and talk to the teacher and other students.
